Quick Movie Reviews

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, PG-13, 9 out of 10
I have to say, I was dissappointed with this one. The acting is only decent, and the way they turned Anakin to the dark side seemed rushed and unfinished. Honestly, though, this is the greatest looking movie I've ever seen. Overall, it's good, but not near as good as any of the original trilogy.

Sin City, R, 10 out of 10
This is seriously one of the most visually stunning movies to date. Add with that great acting, directing, and scriptwriting, and you've got one hell of a movie. It would be sinful not to see it.

Pulp Fiction, R, 9 out of 10
Cool dialouge, interesting characters, genuinely weird, yep, it's a Tarantino flick. Overall, good. But the last story of the movie- pure genius.

The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, R, 8 out of 10
People will either love this movie or hate it. I loved it. It was different, funny, and just plain weird. Willem Dafoe did the weirdest character I've ever seen him do, which says a decent amount. I really liked it, but I don't really know why.

Hostage, R, 9.5 out of 10
I honestly wasn't 100% sold on this movie when I went to the theater to see it. But, as I always like to see Bruce Willis shooting people, I went anyway. This is a great movie. Not a lot of big name actors besides Willis, but still a great film. The action is intense, and the story is surprisingly fresh. I would advise any suspense- thriller-action fan to see it.

Clerks Uncensored, UR, 10 out of 10
Ok, this DVD set includes all 6 episodes (4 of them unaired) from the short lived Clerks cartoon on ABC. The episodes are hillarious, and poke fun at just about everything. I would definitely suggest any Kevin Smith fan to pick it up. Comedy at it's finest.

American Dad, TV PG, 9.5 out of 10
Look, I know this is only a pilot for a TV show, but I had to put it on the site. I LOVE Family Guy and had to see this. Overall, it's got about the same art and humor as Family Guy, but a different setting and interesting new characters. Overall, it's great. It's just not the perfection that is Family Guy.

The Grudge, PG-13, 4 out of 10
Yeah, it's kinda creepy. But the story is absolute CRAP. I can't believe Sam Raimi would produce sh*t like this. I mean, it would be different if he had never done a horror movie before, but he did the freakin Evil Dead movies. This just feels like you've wasted your time after watching it. Also, when trying to understand the plot, you can feel your IQ dropping.

Anchorman, PG-13, 3 out of 10
What a dissappointment. Horrible story, decent acting, and a crappy Will Ferrel performance to boot. The funniest guy in the movie is the Weatherman that's pretty much retarded. This sucked. Alot.

Bourne Supremacy, PG-13, 9.5 out of 10
This movie is great, although it will probably never get the recognization it deserves. Matt Damon is great as Jason Bourne and the plot is almost perfect. The wobbly camera can get annoying, but it's not too bad. The movie is great, pick it up.

Dogma, R, 10 out of 10
This religious spoof pokes fun at religion, without making fun of religion. The actors are great and their characters are well put together. This is by far, in my opinion, the best performances by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Plus you get Jay and Silent Bob. Life is good.
